Most people just install a federal emissions up pipe to delete. And then use efi live to remove it from the ecm

Thats what we do with the LLY's and newer. And I guess if I ever see a LB7 Cal that'll be the same.

 

how can you tell if it the california model??? mine was bought new in phoenix az and i'm the second owner???

and the code was P0405 EGR flow sensor A circuit input low. so it the valve actually bad or is it just because of the 5'' exhaust???

And mine in def a lb7 so if alligator performance has a blocker plate that will work let me know. also too scott which edge tuner would you suggest that is a decent price??

 

What is the eight digit in your vin number. If its a 1 its an LB7 if its a 2 its a LLY. I will look into how to tell if its a California truck.

 

To tell if its a cali version on the passenger side of the truck by firewall where the up pipe is there should be a bunch of unnecessary crap with a two bolt flange bolted to the up pipe... if there nothing bolted to the up pipe then you have no egr

 

what do you mean by up pipe??? the intake pipe from the grill?? because my egr valve sits right behind that pipe. does anyone have pic as they don't make just a base repair manuel. thanks guys

 

The up pipes come off of the exhaust manifolds and go up to the back of the turbo. Off of those "up pipes" will be your EGR valve. It will not be up front by the grill.
