LB7 truck died
hey guys i got a question. my dad has an 03 gmc 2500hd and he went to back out of the driveway and the truck just shut off and know just cranks-won't start up at all. i scanned codes and got nothing. did the tests for a crank/no start following the gm service manual and led to a faulty fuel rail pressure sensor. my question is Has anyone ever had this issue before and do these engines need to see fuel rail pressure to start?
Thanks
Thanks

nothing recently done to truck, fuel filter was changed like 10,000 miles ago if that.truck ran fine all morning, then that afternoon went to use it and died. i tried unplugging the sensor and just cranks-relatively fast. using my scan tool i can look at FRP pids and the desired is at 45 mpa and the actual is 2 mpa with sensor plugged in and goes to 180 mpa when unplugging the sensor. i guess i'll check to be sure it's getting fuel to the engine-were would be the best place to do that?
