Fuel Flow/ Leaky Rail
Can somebody give me a quick flow path of an '01's injection system?
CP3 > Left Rail > Right Rail?
Is there an in-tank lift pump?
Mine is leaking from the fitting on the rear of the driver's-side rail. Is that a high pressure supply line, a relief valve or a transfer fitting to the passenger's-side rail?

cp3> fuel juncion block> Both rails
no lift pumps on the truck dmaxes, the vans have one though.
on the rear driver side rail under the GPCR is where the supply for the driver side rail connects to.
theres two parts to the rail a 19mm sleeve bolt that presses onto a fitting that bolts onto the tail that is a size i cant remember right now

glow plug control relay. its a black plastic box that controls the glow plugs and intake air heater.
Yes it goes though the front on the passenger side

they have a completly different rail then the lly's and lbz's
the ported fuel rail fitting wont do anything because there is a small bullet looking thing with the smallest hole ever behind the fuel rail fittings, you can port the fuel rail fitting all you want but on the 01's you have to pull that little widget out and port it

Its more common on the LLY trucks cause the FPRV likes to pop too early dropping the rail pressure alot. Especially when people start tuning and adding more pressure they will push the FPRV out its seat and it will pop releasing the rail pressure it can go from 23Kpsi and when the FPRV pops the rail pressure will drop down to 19kpsi or lower setting a LFP code.
You can do a bottle test to see if a truck needs shims on the FPRV, Under the GPCR there is a 1/2 rubber hose comming out of the rail next to the FPRV, replace that hose with long one with a bottle on the end and drive the **** out of the truck, if there is any fuel in the bottle the FPRV is leaking fuel thus draining your rail pressure. only way to fix it is to race valve it ot shim it.
Theres been a number of lbz trucks that have done 12's with out any shims they were designed to has 26kpsi. the lb7 and lly arent they are tuned to 23kpsi from factory and thats then the stock fprv pops
