if they stay in leave them alone, if they come out you gotta clean them out, i used a red skotch-brite pad
Great thread, my 03' is at the dealer as I write this.
Quick question, these prices that are being thrown around 200-300 plus for GM injectors, is that for brand new OEM, or rebuilt? And I assume this is the price with a core?
Thank you.

dealer price is 350 plus 100-150 core for each one iirc. so thats like 4k from the dealer at thier price. then core it would be a little less. either way theyre expensive as hell.
I do believe dynomite diesel does get them new too, i know when i got them from the dealer the box said reman, but the dates on the injectors indicated they were brand new

Thanks for the response. Im being told that warrenty in Cal is 200,000 7yr, and a year ago it would be an easy to cover, but now with GM (govt motors) i.e. cutbacks, etc, this type of stuff gets kicked back often and falls in the lap of the customer.
again thank you for your help.

ive always heard that the injector warrenty was 7 year/ 200k mile.
alot of 03 trucks cant get it warrantied since they were built in 02, but sold as 03's in back in 02.

Yea my bust 7/200,000
And just found out my pig was delivered 8/16/02 and as of 09/16/09 it was up. So my dealership has been hooking me up since Sept.
Oh well, bend over. Hopefully they will be gentle.
Thanks for the input.

great write up man!! im with K50 on this one to!! doesnt look nearly as intimidating as i thought i would be!! how long did it take you to do both sides? and how much did you pay for the new stock injectors? did they come with the cores also?
