Default Fuel in crankcase

Yes, if it is an 01 then it is the injectors. Have an 01 & 02, 01 has 260,000 the 02 has 350,000. 01 has had 8 injectors, the 02 has had 19 injectors. To say the least it can be expensive to replace them. The first set on both were replaced under warranty. After than you are on your owe. The good news is that I called Chevy customer service and explained my problem. Now all my service had been down by two Chevy dealers and that might have helped as all the records are available to Chevy. Anyway, I have ended up paying for work done and Chevy picked up the injectors. Now, If I can get some help when the transfere case goes bad on the 01 that would be great. Lost the transfer case in the 02 (bad design, gear rubs through casing) that was $2500.
Good luck, give customer service a call, be respectful, and all they can say is no, but you will never know unless you try.

I have an 01 that started having problems in september..took it to my dealer and they told me it was fine, took it to a different dealer in january and they found three bad injectors and told me my warrintie was up in november its still under 200,00 miles so if you find a dealer ship to cover them dont pass it up and let me know so i can haul my truck down to em.

u dont want to use ether on a dmax ever...

my crank case filled up with diesel fuel when my injectors failed, the bodies failed and since they are under the valve covers the fuel leaked out the body and into the crank.
