Default Blue Smoke

Ive got a 03 LB7 at the house that has started to smoke only while it is idling for a few mins. It has all the power as before and fuel milage isnt off (9mpg) but in the last month it is smoking like a freight train sitting there at idle. The dealership told the guy it is ok to do it. It smeels like fuel also. I belive it has a stuck injector that cant burn all the fuel. Anyone else had this problem? truck has about 120k on it and pulls trailor all the time. Oh yea it does it with or without the programmer, the guy doesent want to spend alot of money in the truck. But I belive the injectors have a 200k warrenty.

The LB7 Injectors were a gamble.. Id go ahead and take advantage of the 200k warranty and get them replaced. Some guys have no issues with their LB7 sticks, and then others are on 2 or 3 sets by the 120k mark..

It was just an injector problem.. if you have an LB7 with the 200k Injector warranty, at the first sign of injectors messing up.. HAVE them changed.. if they dont act up, then I wouldnt sweat it.

7 year 200k warranty on lb7's they can fail in two ways, they smoke blue or the crank case gets filled up with diesel and you will notice a huge puddle of oil under the truck after driving. or diesel all on the under side

My 03 with 103k is in the shop right now getting new injectors, you can call the dealership with your vin # and they can tell you if they have been changed or not. Thats what I would guess the problem would be.
