Weird Acting Duramax
I have a 2003 duramax i have a edge juice with attitude with level 6, AFE intake, 5 inch exaust.
I was going down the high way and the chip was on level 6. I floored it just to pass someone , it did fine for about 3 sec then it lost power, started doing this weird stuttery sound. it was almost like my stock tranny was skipping and couldnt get into the next gear,. then when i let off and drive normal it drives fine.
could anyone tell me why it is doing this and how to fix it.

Sounds exactly like you edge is loosing communication.
Its common.
Take it out and send it in to Edge. If they cant fix it and your warrenty is up they will sell you a new one for $250.
If it is not the module you could be draining the fuel rail. This would cause the truck to basically stop then go again. Basically cutting in and out.
Doubt its the trans.
Limp Mode is not 3rd gear. It is considered 4th gear. The torque converter will also never lock up when in limp mode.
To override it dimply pull tot he side of the road, and cycle the key 3 times. This will get you home until you have time to clear the code.
