Default Starter?

Hello. New here. I just had injectors put on at dealer. Truck has looong crank before start. Tonight it quit during the start cycle. It started on second turn. Is it my starter? Alternator? was thinking due to increase size of injectors maybe it required more fuel or torque to start.....dunno. Anyone? Thanks.

Welcome to DB.

If your getting no codes and batteries are charged up i would have to guess maybe the injectors have something to do with it i would try messing with EFI to get it stating better, i know when i turn up my b0731 it gets a little harder to turn on but it throws out some smoke.

have you adjusted your pulse width to accommodate for the size of the injectors or cranking injection quality?

that could happen too, if you forget to bleed the air out when changing a FF

Yep Ive double checked for air.... no leaks, purge on filter cant even push down a 10th of millimeter. I did up the cranking injection quantity with EFI, up to 60 from a stock of 45....no better. I wasnt sure about messing with the timing. Im not that knowledgable with EFI yet. Thanks for replies.

What %size are the injectors, when i turned up my b0731 to 100-120 it was a little hard to turn on but it threw out alot of smoke.

how does it drive with the bigger injectors, the idle rough at all?

The injectors are 50hp dragon flys from industrial injection. Idles smooth as glass. I raised the idle to 750. I upped crank injection to 65, threw out major smoke, so its backed down to 55 now. Yes timing is stock. Tune I have is based on Quad 135hp tune tho.....with mods stated below.

What timing table to use? Can someone send me a table to compare? I have no idea how to change timing. All Ive done is throttle based injection, idle, and tire/rim cals. I would like to understand the pw and timing tables.

The injectors made a lot of difference. Used to I would be at 90 at the end of the entry to freeway here. Now Im over 100mph.

Thanks

idk what 50hp injectors would be but send me your stock tune and the tune your workin with and ill add some power to that tune

bring idle back to 600, i guess call industila injection and ask them how much bigger %wise they are from stock and i should be able to help out out with the start and add some more power.
