Straight-pipe stock exhaust improvements?
I'm fixing to address the need for an exhaust system but I'm curious if there is any efficiency benefits to just straight-piping (removing DOC & muffler) the stock exhaust? I know there will be much more sound and turbo whine but are there any performance and/or mpg gains doing this? Your advice and suggestions will be appreciated.

not really just buy a 4" or 5" turbo back exhaust stock straight piped sounds like crap imo
i have a Diamondeye 5" turbo back on mine and its great not to to loud till you romp it then it screams and flows great my EGTs dropped 300 degrees

I went from stock to 5" and no mpg improvement. Sounds much better though. I have a free flowing muffler as i am not a fan of loud exhaust and it is just a lower pitched rumble at about the same volume as stock
