Hello All, I am new to this site! Looks like a great bunch of people with like minds. I do hope to get some input from some one with more know how that I. I have a 2002 2500 HD Durmax. My Son used my truck and had a problem with a water hose. Drove the truck HOT !! I have found the leak and repaired it. But now their is noise while driving at 1200 RPM up. IT sounds like a injector knock? When you take your foot off the accelerator the noise quits. That could mean it is not a lifter? Right? What would be my best way to address this issue. How could one isolate each injector? I will replace the parts myself as like most funds are always an issue. By the way, I have had this truck about one or two months. It has 168 K on it. Hope to hear from some one soon. OH! Don't loan your truck to your kids!

take it to Gm and have them look it over .. give them an hour and see what they can tell ya .. or someone local maybe ?

 

might be able to see what injector it is by having the balance rates checked

try doing the GM injector cleaning procedure first and see if that helps

 

Check your TC bolts .. just a thought
