You are right, I'm not fiddel'n with anything else, just waiting on my diesel friend with the tac 2 scanner to get back from vacation. As far as what I did, I just replace the fuel filter. Oh yea, yesterday I did try cranking while blowing air in the tank with my leaf blower...no start

Ok, maybe I misunderstood that email someone sent. Tell me how you set this up. I think I was trying to put about 5psi in the tank with a leaf blower or shop vac. while cranking.

Sounded kinda crazy to me but I'm still thinking it is the CP3 pump and willing to try anything to rule this out while I wait on my Diesel friend with his Tach 2 scanner to get back from vacation.

you put an air hose from a compressor into the filler neck, seal it with a rag. set the pressure regulator to about 5 psi. hold it in and pressurize it while someone cranks it over.

there is also supposed to be a special cap that has an air fitting on it so you can do it by yourself.

this is supposed to help if you have any air leaks in your lines, filter housing, etc. the increase in pressure will help push out the entrapped air and help re-prime the fuel pump.
