1999 suburban 6.5
My 6.5 turbo deisel idles ok but when I push fuel pedal it bogs down, it has no codes and just started doing this and is getting worse. could this be water in the fuel. About a little over a year ago we put new up graded pmd and located in new spot and these symptoms are so different from what the original pmd were doing.

is this just at first start up ? does it run ok when it warm up ?
lot fuel housing will leak and you won't see cause sit to far down in the valley
How old many miles on injectors maybe return lines sucking air
LP = lift pump it sit right under drive side on frame right about where the driver seat is

It was doing it at 55 to 60 mph but i could stomp on fuel and it would clear out. now on start up it sounds terrible but clears out and when i push on throttle it bogs down. it seems to be doing it constantly when driving when earlier it would get better as it got hotter. just put stuff in tank for water (deisel fuel supplement) now my service engine soon light came on so will get that code tomorrow. the truck is 185k had since 99k with same injectors and dont know before.

funny going from no codes for few days never doing anything to reset the computer to now having many codes. these codes dont say they are for my vehicle either but maybe that doesnt matter. first one po236(map sensor to high to long) second po216(injector timing control circuit) third po126(coolant temp allways low) and fourth po380(crank sensor condition) funny this one says except deisels.
the only thing i have done lately to the truck was the thermostats for low temp, the oem type tstat on one of them came apart and was stuck holding it opened even after repair it still giving low coolant temp so i will change the sensor. From my experience one faulty part could be causing multiple codes. If any body has any ideas your help is much appreciated.

I would check all your grounds first make sure they are clean and have good ends
Codes
P0236 - check vacuum lines waste gate, and wastegate solenoid
P0216 - is sign of the IP going out but before rule bad pump need to get rid code P0126 and Po380
now for code P0126 and P0380 these 2 codes could set one other and the p0216
For code P0126 I would start here and check this on the T-Stat cross over . This tell the computer what temps it at
Diagnostic check? Here is all I got for the CTS or according to this, ECT :P
An out-of-calibration sensor may not set a trouble code. Use following procedure to test sensor calibration. Disconnect ECT sensor harness connector. Measure resistance between ECT sensor and terminals. Sensor resistance should be as specified. (See resistance values table). Resistance should be high when engine is cold and rop as engine warms. With vehicle sitting overnight, IAT sensor and coolant sensor should have close to the same resistance reading.
ECT Sensor Resistance Values
Temperature in F.........................Ohms
212........................................177
158........................................467
104........................................1459
68..........................................3520
32..........................................9420
5............................................21450
-40.........................................100700
For code P0380
CPS (Crankshaft Position Sensor) - PCM reads the CPS module to indicate TDC for each piston, necessary to determine precise timing for the injection pulse.
Like said above check all ground first they do play but part of these motors
---AutoMerged DoublePost---
I was just looking codes the code po380(crank sensor condition) that wrong
P0380 Glow Plug Circuit Performance
P0335 is for the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Circuit
A other ? for you did all this start after you put new T-Stats in if so you could have air bubble in the coolant system

truck started acting up week or so ago so we checked codes and coolant temp low came up thinking this was simple fix i replaced tstats and found one stuck opened with peice of rubber from its side. funny thing my codes cleared out some time between this when we got on the throttle hard it cleared codes. but after replacing tstats it got worst. I checked grounds and disconnected all connectors and reconnected but still bog down when i push the pedal. it clears out but returns through all the shifts of the transmission. going to replace crank sensor and coolant temp sensor tommorrow. Talked to friend who has 2 deisels one ford2001 and other dodge 2008 and he said both of his are doing this same thing but he said they get better as they heat up, he has tried stuff for water in fuel but has not corrected his problem.
