Default replacement starter

i have a 98 k3500 chev dually w/ 6.5. after mail ordering the crossover pipe, waiting for a week to get it, i finally got my truck running. brought it home parked it. 2 days later go to start it and it just clicks, one time each time i try to start it. diagnosed the batteries and i see i have nine years on six year batteries, interstate megatrons. after replacing batteries, same click, so i'm heading out now to pull the starter, just wondering, do i rebuild the solenoid,ie contacts, or do i buy a new starter vs. rebuilt, high performance starter ? they range in price from 100 to 300+ for the starter, much less for the contact block and so on. till now i have had no problems with the stock starter so i'm leaning on replacing with the same, try to keep it around 100. what would you do ?

Default

Before replacing check the small wire going to the starter i have seen then short out on the exhaust manifolds and new solenoid going cost all most as new starter
