fuel shutoff solenoid removal ?
My fuel shutoff soleoid was leaking profusely and letting air in the pump so I took it off then when I went to the parts store found out that they cost over 80$. I gotta wait till next payday to buy anotherone so I plugged the hole. What resistor do I need to put in to keep the comp from throwing a code? Or can I just leave it unhooked? Any ideas?

You will want a new style solenoid go online to get it or junk yard actually you could just plug the hole and rely on ignition key powering down the PMD to shut off the truck. Fuel shutoff solenoid is backup shutdown, power off and the spring closes off the plunger.
Easy to change it just twists out the top of the IP housing/body. Refresh story again was the solenoid housing leaking or the o ring where it mates into the IP housing.
No resistor replacement required, that resistor is for calibration of the fuel solenoid that meters fuel that is mounted at the end of the IP, whole different solenoid than the shutdown solenoid.

I think the OP just wants to connect a resistor in series to the FSO harness to stop the code from being set.
The FSO is just a coil so nearly any value resistor would likely work to complete the circuit, but I would ohm out the old FSO and choose a value in that range.
Some math would have to be done to get the proper wattage-guy at radio shack any help in that dept?
Getting a new or wrecking yard FSO is the way to go though.
