technically if i...
pull all the injectors out of the engine,i should be able to take a breaker bar and socket, and turn the engine, shouldn't i? reason is that the other day i was pulling a car and it started smoking and then clanking.i shut it off, call the person i bought the engine from and today i was pulling injectors to get them tested and decided to see if engine was shot.well,i can't turn the motor with the breaker bar/socket.i'm guessing i'm out a motor and probably will be in court trying to get my $$$ back.and afterwards,i'll have a parts truck to part out, happy father's day to me...

should be able to turn the engine over without pulling the injectors. without the injectors in you should be able to turn it fairly easily. if you just put this motor in you can take the inspection plate off of the transmission and see if all the bolts are still tight on the torque converter if one came loose it could be hitting something making it to where you can't turn it. also check that all the bellhousing bolts are tight.
does it not turn one way but will turn the other?
