Default ??? How do I save $250 ???

I have looked everywhere trying to find a way to test my PMD....Can anyone please tell me how to test it or where to look? I would also like to find out how to check my injection pump if my PMD turns out ok.my PMD was changed in 2009 ,but I can't really just wast $250 right know but I really need my truck back any help would be great thank you...

here place to help test the PMD but to and many other 6.5er tell there not no good test but other PMD cause PMD act in many diff ways

well should gave us more info on what going on with your truck like any codes have you did OPS and LP test or check and clean the grounds witch play big part with a 6.5

Thanks for the info..codes. all had to do with accelerater cercit malfunctioning..it was surging but sometimesreving to the reV limider but no pedal response know it won't start but with starting fluid it will run a minute but no pedal lift pump works whats the ops test thanks for all the help any advice is great thanks

if its not the injection pump it could be your eletronic aclerator pedal. i would see if it is because those are a lot cheaper than injection pumps

Ok PMD here are things I know on my 1997 6.5 first had a bad oil sending unit which burn out the lift pump so check the lift pump first the sending unit is under the fuel filter if you need a new pump your going to have to change the sending unit first and if you google the lift pump from a Hummer has more lift

first all the OPS will not stop LP from running it run on it own relay the OPS from 96+ is set for roll over

Only way to check the injection pump is with a Tech 2 scanner and yes the truck will run with a bad lift pump I move the PMD off the pump to a heat sink and keeping it cool but if you want more help try SS diesel supply .com Walt can help you he have a free tech page and we get back to you

So their is a way to check if the injection pump is bad?
