You will have to still worry about a lot of stuff even though it is 2wd. You are still going to have to basically redesign the front end. The engine is to tall to clear the cross member and hood and if I am correct to long to fit between the radiator and the firewall. I ain't going to say to do it or not but I am saying that its never going to be cheaper than keeping a 6.5 in it or going to be a short easy job.

ive heard its pretty easy if you have a shop to do it. a body lift and some adapters and maybe a cowl hood and you should be good. esspecially if you have a manual body trans, and even if you dont they have stand alones for the trans. only real trouble is fitting an intercooler from what ive looked up

avalanche engineering, autoworld, theres a few. de stroked. look up cummins conversions. you can get most parts like crossmembers and motor mounts, stand alone systems, adapters, and they will all have insite on how to do it. its not cheap, but maybe be cheaper then dabbling in 6.5s and keep haveing to fix it. i was quoted 7 grand to have it done here in manitoba (canada)

if you can fabricate its a lot cheaper but if you dont have the tools or skills it is going to be expensive!!

Ya guys who build it themselves save alot. each conversion part costs about 700-800 dollars.

Why in gods name would you waste your time on a 2 wheel drive diesel, i would just drop a big block chevy into it and go with it.

are you new? what is a semi? they may have tandem axles but basically 2 wheel drive. diesel has nothing to do with 4 wheel drive. diesels are about pulling power not off roading
