Clacking sound from floorboard

All I do whenever I have to pull the box is just unbolt the steering column an let it lay on the seat.that way u don't have to unbolt it from the lower steering shift.

You have to remove the steering on the 2000 and newer. I don't think you have to on the older ones i could be wrong.
