Default Clacking sound from floorboard

Whenever I turn on the key I hear a loud CLACKING SOUND which seems to be coming from the floorboard where the passenger's feet would be. It goes on for about 20 seconds, then stops. It starts clacking again when I turn the key off and runs for 20 seconds. I can't hear it as loudly listening outside the truck so it seems to be inside the truck. It might have something to do with the heater/ac system. Also, if it means anything, there is no vacuum pump on the engine.

Any ideas out there??

There is a door in the heater box thats acting up. I cant remember if its the door or the actuator that goes bad.

They will do it for a little bit after the key is off. 95 and newer doesn't seam to have as many problems with the heater controls as the earlier ones do.

You can take the glovebox out an you may be able to get to it.if not you've got to remove the
dash an metal tube frame in front of your heater box.
