Hers the deal I put a 27lb spring on the homemade turbo master and got 7-8 psi boost at WOT. I am not going to put on the heavier spring I have yet until I get a bit more info, plus it's been really cold outside here. The heavier spring brought the boost level up three pounds, so I think that I am on the right track here. I want to make sure that my gauge is 100% correct before I do anything more. The truck has really woken up alot which makes me wonder about the gauge accuracy. I believe that I am getting the fuel I need to produce boost so I don't think that that is the problem at this point. any more suggestions would be great. Thanks

you never mentioned what brand of gauge you have. you get what you pay for when it comes to gauges. glowshifts for example can run anywhere from 2-4 psi off which is troble when you have a 6.5 with reltively low boost numbers

Auto meter sport comp which is 0-35 psi, I have never had an issue with auto meter but there can always be a first time I guess, I'll get on it and I have to pull out the snorkel in the fender like crazy said, Thanks.

That's great that the spring helped. I'm not an expert but if the wastegate has something stopping it from closing all the way wouldnt it limit the amount of boost produced?

In theory that sounds right, it closes all the way at least with the truck turned off and the spring off. The lever for the waste gate is very smooth. I'm going to get an external gauge and test it that way to see if the current gauge is accurate or not. Truck is definitely moving better though.

I am at WOT for my boost numbers as they are now. 7-8 psi is all that I get on the gauge.
