Default 6.2l diesel question

do u have to pull the upper intake off to get the fuel lines undone

i want to change the valve cover gaskets they leak pretty bad it looks like and would like to take care of this while the tranny is bein rebuilt

so if u guys know any tricks to doing this let me know thanks in advance

label each line and port on the injection pump with its cylinder number so you dont spend a couple hours tryong to figure which one is which. try to not bend the lines and you will need to bleed the air out of the system once everything is back together

Theres no place on it for a distributor. It's a vacuum pump you can just pull it out and put it back in any way as long as when you put it back in you get it engaged with the oil pump.

I have always pulled the intake to remove the injector lines. I suppose it could be done without removing the intake. I think it would be a pain though. The problem probably wouldn't be getting them off, but probably getting them back on and torqued.
