My 85 6.2L K5 is dual straight piped. Losing the mufflers opened it up for a lil more power, and makes it sound angry. At idle it sounds like a diesel in front of the truck, but the exhaust rumbles like a BBC. When I stomp on it it sounds like a hot rod chopper at WOT. What I love is pulling up to work in it, turning heads, and having coworkers ask if it's a 454, 350, etc. I told a guy it was a Detroit diesel. He didn't believe me til I started it back up in front of him.
