Ok going to pick up a 96 1500 6.5td today. And there's some parts and questions I'm looking for.

1st I'm wondering about headers or torque tubes. Haven't seen any anywhere.

2nd i want too put a 2 in body lift but they say don't put them on diesel.

And iv got a few more questions but I can't think of them now, thanks in advance.

 

no one makes headers for a 6.5, you could have a set custom made but thats $$$$$. they do make exhaust systems though. cant do a body lift because it messes with the cooling system. your going to have to get a lift kit or just crank the t bars.

 

Alright and another question is I seen a number of aftermarket air intakes which ones the best?

 

well 96 where funny yr some of the 96 have 97 & up set with big round filter and no need to upgrade that one the other 1/2 96 and was flat filter upgrade to 97 or better with k&n filterr

 

that ss diesel one is crap and hurts your perfromance. like he said^^^^ get a k47 97+ air box. best ones out there.
