Sad Tach problem
1997 6.5 K2500 Suburban. I replaced the original alternator with higher output option. Had to change out the connection plug to fit. Now no tach reading. Help?

some one correct me if im wrong but doesnt the tach read off of the alternator? i know it does on the mechanical IP 6.5s but im not sure about a newer one
