Default Odd start/idle

I just had to replace the Fuel injection pump on my 1992 6.5

Now whenever it starts cold it will smoke a bit like it is running rich.
But that will pass and it will run fine, till you go down the highway and it will cut out a bit and just run off.
Also whenever you shut it off warm, and come back to it and start it while still warm, it will idle/drive for a little bit, then die. Try to start it again and it cranks over for a long time and will fire up and wont die till next time.

I believe that they turned the pump up, and advanced the timing a bit, could it be turned up to much or outta time. Or do you think that the injectors just aren't working right?
