mad 6.2 gmc workhorse

my diesel smokes out of one exhaust and not the other. and has plenty of power it is a darker more so than lighter color smoke if that makes sense i just changed the head which was giving me that ping it turned out one of the springs was broken on the valve

yes i have a dual exhaust the head that i change is on the same side that smokes woody

Do both of the heads match? If one head is a c and the other is a j the one that is a j will flow more air.
