Default stalling 6.5

Hi, I am having some heat related stalling issues. I bought a new pmd a couple months ago with a heat sync shortly after buying the truck. The harness was very short and only allowed me to mount it on top of the intake. That worked fine untill the summer heat hit. On my way from Calgary to Vancouver it started to sputter when i was in city driving condition, no problems on the highway. When I made it to the island I got some wire and extended the harness. I used soder and shrink tube, did a nice carfull job. It fired right up and i had no problems. As soon as i got back to the mainland the stop and go traffic in the hot wheather is causing the same problem. the pmd is cool, lift pump is working, fluids are up. I recently changed the fuel filter and air filter. Could i have damaged the pmd? maybe IP issues? any thoughts would be appriciated! thanks everyone!

hey woody35! i extended the pmd to the skidplate under the front bumper, it has lots of airflow and is very cool to the touch.

I had a 95 2500 and it had a relocated pmd it did the same thing. I put some thermal grease between the pmd and the heat sink. It fixed mine just thought I would mention that.

thats a good place for it. have you checked your fuel filter or fuel lines for restrictions. there is a fuel sock in the tank that can get plugged.
