I don't know how it sounds but anything has to be better than the stock turbo. As far as I know you can put them on any 6.5.

Can the pump be turned up on an 85 6.2, non turbo? Will this aid in hills with my RV? how do you turn up the pump?

Yes you can turn the pump up but you need to get a gauge to watch the egt's before you turn it up. The more fuel you put to it the more power theoretically it should make but it also builds more heat. Go to the ford idi section and they have a sticky on it. Its the same db2 pump they run on the 6.2.
