hey guys i have notice recently some troubles with my turbo.

heres the breakdown. i will drive my truck for about 15-20 minutes with the turbo working fine good whistle and all. however all the sudden my turbo will just stop activating, like its clogged or something. no matter how hard i floor it the turbo will not spool up =/. i have no idea what it is, some help would be great

 

There is a few things it could be. 1 is the cat is clogged if it is still on it I would remove it any way. You could have a vac. pump going out. Pull the vacuum line off going to the turbo solenoid and check for vacuum there. Your turbo solenoid could be going out.

 

I am looking for info on makeing my own "turbo master" or mechanicaly controlled waistgate. You might want to do the same. I just did a remote pmd and found the hard plasic vacume lines going to the turbo were britel like crazy and broke them taking off the intake manifold. Durring my test drive i had no boost. I would check them very closely.

 

93 yours should have a mechanical waste gate.
