Yea I highly doubt a boost leak also. The only thing I have ever had them do if the turbo isn't working right is blow black smoke.

i think midway through the 90's they said fk the 6.5 and started designing the d-max. because nothing really new came out for the 6.5 after 1997 beside minor details. so any attempts to compete with p-stroke and cummins were trashed with the 6.5
