Default Quick question you guys

hey guys i have 2 quick questions

1) i am thinking about just unbolting the exhaust where the down pipe meets the Cat so i could have a simple strait down pipe, this should not cause any problems should it?

2) I have a 98 6.5L TD and i was wondering if anyone knows on those stock turbos if there is a turbo silencer ring???? if so id like to take it out

there is a plastic pipe though designed to silence the turbo. you can jsut unclip it and unbolt it from the inyake elbow and clog the hole.

If you unbolt it there it will be real loud in the cab. What I did with mine is take the cat off the truck take a rod run down it and beat the guts out of it then bolt it back on so it will be behind the cab.
