which transfer case is in a 97 chevy 3500 with an nv4500?

should be an np241. Drivers side drop, I want to say 32 spline input but I could be wrong.

anyway to adapt these to a better T-case this is thed third one in 10,000 miles

it does us ea 32 spline fastcr is correct. here is a good link to a little information on them

im surprised your having trouble with one though they tend to normally be great transfer cases

The 2500 light duty I have is a 241 my 2500 Hd and 3500 have a different t case in them I don't remember what it is though.

I've read this somewhere although the only 1 ton I've been under (95-98 k3500 srw 6.5/auto) still had a 241 in it. Maybe only dually k3500s have them.

my 94 1 ton single rear wheel doesn't have a 241 nether does my 98 3/4 hd. I think it might be a 271.

i think its the 241. it grinds and wont hold the gear adn will only go in 4 lo. got it out now and getting another tomorrow for $150.
