look in your glove box. if it has a code for G80 you have posi trac. either that or find a deserted street and brake torque it and see how many black lines you left. with those mods you will probably do 16s in the quarter depending on your gear ratio. stock numbers probably in the neighborhood of high 17s low 18s

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

if you want 14s in the quarter your going to need a different turbo and some injectables.

Thanks, I plan on trying the burnout, I wont be able to check the glovebox until july when I get back, actually the reason I want posi is to leave 2 black lines not a one wheel wonder, ha. I like to do the occasional smoke show, but nothing longer than 10-15 seconds,

I may upgrade to the a-team turbo, but im not going to get to crazy with this truck, 14s would be plenty quick for me.

I love my 6.5 and it moves along pretty good it's faster than my cummins a good air intake and exhaust is a must look at the hole in your air box going to your fender it's only about 2 inches i have an auto tranny witch helps with the speed also if your going to change your injectors 6.2 injectors are pretty good that's what I used in mine i run 18 pounds of boost with a kennedy chip it run 14.60.s not to bad for a 7000 pound truck the optic bump helps alot

I would like to get a leveling kit for the front, what is a good company for a 2-3 inch front lift? what all is involved? ( besides alignment)

Where can I source some OEM fender flares? I have found a bunch of sites for my truck but no one has the factory fender flares, I would like to add some when I upgrade my tires to a larger size....

Thanks for the info guys....

More questions guys......sorry im researching parts while im stuck in afghan, 2 months left,

Do people use turbo timers on the 6.5L? Im very familiar with turbo cars but not trucks yet.

BOV's? is is even possible on these? benefits on a stock motor?

and still looking for 2wd leveling kits, just want a 2 inch up front to even it out, not trying to pretend to be 4wd or anything.....

Thanks guys!!!!

I don't know of any one putting a turbo timer on the 6.5.

The 2wd leveling kit I know can be done I had a friend do it years ago. I can not remember exactly what they did though.

Sorry I could help more. Thank you for your service and hope you make it home safely.

Thanks 2muchjunk...... I am assuming I can use a 1500 2wd leveling kit, should be the same set up in the front. I figured the turbo timer would help with long term reliability.

Its a pleasure to serve, thanks for your support, im ready to go home now and enjoy my new diesel, ha
