hey guys, im new to this forum. i have tried many others asking the same question and i usually dont get a solid answer so if you guys could help that would be awesome.

so i have a 98' 6.5 turbo diesel. it runs like a champ with no problems, everything is stock on it and always has been, except for new glow plugs and injector pump put in about 1000 miles ago. my question is what is the easiest way and most convenient way to make my truck blow some coal without hurtin my truck???????

thanks alot guys!

stick a bag over the airfilter or take the turbo off. seriously why do people want to make smoke so bad. your wasting fuel, making excess heat and above all else making us diesel people look like a bunch of jackasses. a 6.5 is no cummins. it cant flow a ton of fuel. plus it has a small fast spooling turbo. combine a small fast spooling turbo and low fuel output and you have a diesel that doesnt make a lot of smoke.

only way to get more fuel output is with computer reflash. even then you wont get a lot of smoke.

Welcome to the site. Dont dislike the site already. Having a truck JUST to make smoke is a very sensitive issue and is giving the diesel community a bad rep. I too have been on alot of site and this one is by far the best there is from what I have found. There are alot of good guys on here ready and willing to help. But when it comes to like I said to just blow smoke you will most likely get the same reply. But as for building more power not just smoke that would be a different subject with different answers. Give us a chance to show ya that this is the #1 DIESEL SITE ON THE WEB for a reason DIESEL BOMBERS

IMO the best way to make power is the use of a tuner like a Smarty or TST or many others. You can manipulate the timing increase boost and if you want make it smoke. But the dangers are more power may cause a week link to fail. Most guys will set their truck up with gauges a good fuel system a bullet proof trans/clutch then start modding for power with injectors and tuners. Can you give us some info on your truck?

transmission should be fine unless its already weakening. 6.5s dont make enough power to kill the stock tranny. heath diesel, westers performance, and kennedy diesel are the best people to get your computer reflash. 1993 6.5 lift pump, walbro lift pump or for overkill you can use a raptor or airdog. a team turbo or hx35 with max boost psi of 15.what excaltly are you guys expermenting with

fwiw im not hating. i just dont like when a diesel retard gets his hands on a overfueled truck and makes too much smoke in front of the wrong person. i get mad because everytime someone does that we get our rights to modify our trucks taken away a little more.

epa and the overall media hate diesels because of the reputation they got in the 70's and 80's. even though they are 100000000 times cleaner then they were 30years ago. so trying to get rid of that hate should be a top priority or the diesel engine will never be popular in america.

ikill db is the best site hands down
you might not like the answers some are giving you but when people come on here asking how to make their truck smoke and then find out 9 times outta 10 they are then going out and smoking people out on the roads
with this comes more legislations like has been passed in california and stupuid stuff being added to the new trucks like dpf`s
like has been explained smokes is just unburnt fuel wasted money

now if ya want to make power I`m sure the guys on here that have knowledge with your truck will help ya out but please don`t further the diesels have by going out and just blowing smoke every where
