6.2 surging

Default 6.2 surging

Been having trouble with this for a little while 84 6.2 diesel surges when cold ifst startup when the motor warms up truck runs fine takes like 5-10 min for it to come outta it then all is fine, plug the truck in over nite warm block no surge?

i think it has to do with the cylinders still being cold and spontaneous combustion occurring more than usually happens when fully warmed up. my truck does it too so nothings wrong. just let it warm up a few minutes before you drive and it should go away.

I know what i sounds like cold, I've had the truck for three years it revs up kinda like its going to run away

Sounds like the governor in the pump is going. In which case, your going to need a remand pump.
