Default PMD Troubles

Well from what i can figure based off other posts, that my pmd is going bad. Intermittent die'n, no trouble codes. Let it sit for a bit to cool then starts fine, sometimes dies again , sometimes not. Question, what brand pmd do yall recommend?? Relocate it? And i saw a post about changing the resister out. Said they range from 1-9. Number one being the "leaner" and 9 being the "richer". Most of my use the number 1 would be the best choice. What brand resister do yall recommend?? Thanks for the help

are you sure you installed the resistor right because if it is getting too much electricity it going to get too hot. also did you make your own extension harness
