my friend has a 1992 chevy duramax that is pretty slow what can we do to turn it and get it rolling some smoke.

 

first of all its not a duramax. a duramax is a gm direct injection electronic diesel from 2001 to present. your buddy either has a 6.2 or a 6.5 that has indirect injection and mechanical injection pump. i need more info. is it a 6.2 or 6.5. does it have a turbo.

 

92 would be mechanical. shouuuulld be a 6.5. adjustable wastegate control, turn up fuel, can do injectors, intercooler. Just don't push over ~10psi without head studs and/or 18:1 pistons.

 

Sorry wasn't thinking it's 6.5 and turbocharged how do u do the waste gate and the fuel isn't it like a alien head or something

adjustable wastegate

 

Do the adjustable wastegate and turn the fuel screw up. Will blow his mind away with the difference in power. I HIGHLY advise putting on a boost gauge so you know to set the wastegate for around 13psi (head gaskets). Check out my signature for all my upgrades I have done.

 

x2 get and hook up the gauge, my head gasket has a dime sized hole in it. I'd set at about 12.
