Has anybody here ever used seafoam on thier 6.5? Did it make any differance ?

 

I used it on my dodge 5.9

Had a noisey knocking injector and it quieted it down..

Friend put it in a motorcycle that had not run for 2 years and would barley run.. he put it in and it runs like new..

Seems to really clean the fuel system and gets the carbon out.

 

Find a BG Dealer in your area and buy a bottle of 44K diesel and CPR oil flush.
DO NOT use the CPR oil flush if you've got sludge issues!

 

What's that 44K and CPR oil flush your talkin about Lucas? And for that matter,what's this seafoam stuff and what purpose does it serve? short of droppin the oil pan,how would you know if you've got sludge issues?

Trust me, There's nothing you can buy thats as strong as the BG or wynns products from your local parts store. 44K is an extremely strong fuel system cleaner that goes in the tank, They also have injector flushes where the truck runs off the cleaner it's self. CPR is a "Compression restoration" product...I know like me your probably sceptical hearing that. The product was designed with the 7.3 and 6.0L Powerstrokes oil system in mind. It is a complete cleaning agent for the oil system. Nothing on the market is as strong....and quite simply thats why they only market it to dealerships and shops. It's nasty stuff but if your concerned about oil contamination , or buildup in the oil system of a truck like a powerstroke this is one of the few products that will remove the amount of sludge and buildup commonly associated with a diesel.
As long as the instructions are followed you'll be fine.

As far as the sludge question, It's best to pull the valve cover and look for a gummy buildup. Most buildup is caused by poor maintenance routines, or poor quality oil. If this product is used with a sludged up mess, it's only going to make bad problems worse, All the sludge breaks free and makes a real mess.
