Default 6.2l no start

I just bought the truck, 1982 blazer, it had been run out of fuel and would not start. I had to put a new mechanical pump in and was able to get it primed and started. It has been starting a little slow since then, but after it starts the first time it starts again just fine. I drove it to the store last night with no problems, but when I went to start it this morning it would not start at all. It cranks and seems like it wants to start, but never actually catches and fires off. It is kind of acting like it was when the mechanical pump was out. Could it be the injector pump?

How are your glow plugs?
Got a block heater?
Checked fuel filter?

Injector pump may have let go. They are cooled by the fuel and running out of damages the internals.

It is running now. I used a little starting fluid to get it to fire off. Since it didnt start without starting fluid, that means the glow plugs are bad right????

Do they run when you hit the key, or do you have a separate button??

The glow plugs come on with the key. There is no other button.
