Default 92 chevy 6.5

i just bought a 92 chevy 2x2 6.5 turbo.3/4ton reg cab auto. 1 owner 57000 orig. miles. The truck was an old man i know that bought it new. It has new tires and no rust. A tall campershell like new on it. It runs great and has every reciept from every oil change and any work done to it. He used it to pull a small camper trailer a few times a year. I got it for $3000.00 bux. I dont think i got hurt,,do you??/

Open the exhaust to 4", new non GM "crushed down pipe", tweak up fuel rate on IP, add a Turbomaster WG control, some gauges and you'll be very impressed. Kick it up a notch go with a better turbo, search web for A Team Turbo, marine injectors, IC or WMI, better lift pump and "feed the beast" mod and you'll able to haul just about anything your heart desires at highway speed, I'm good for abouyt 18K# with my rig.

You got a good deal there, early block with better metal properties.

Buddy of mine Bill Heath of Heath Diesel holds the land speed record for a 6.5 with a twin turboed 6.5 @ hitting 153mph on the salt flats, going for more this year, so depending on depth of one's wallet and desire to be the fastest, the often maligned and misunderstood 6.5 has much more potential than most "Diesel heads" are aware of, a properly set up 6.5 is a labor of love, where sustainable performance has to be built into it, rather than a store bought ponies in the box accessory packet.
