no its not in yet but on another forum it was suggested that the diesel torque converter would have a lower stall speed

I don't belive it really matters, but if you got access to one, might as well change it out.

Instead of swapping in a 6.2L NA why not swap in a 6.5 NA engine.

The 6.5L NA puts out a little more power then the 6.2L. But the 6.5L also lasts longer.

Just curious, not trying to be a ***, but how do you figure? I always thought that they were really really close in terms of block, hardware, etc.

They are but the 6.5L is rated at more hp and torq.

i've already got the 6.2 and i've been working on it for a few weeks so i'm sticking with that route.

Through my experince I have found that the 6.5L will out last the 6.2L.


I didn't know you already have the engine. Then by all means go through with your plan.

a 93? i thought they stopped making them in 92

the swap is going pretty slowly with school and work
