Doing an engine swap from a 599 block to a genuine 506 Navistar block,yes I know its Navistar because of the Diamonds in the valley and such.Any way I'm using my old pump from the 599 block and the gear from the 506 blocks fuel pump fell out so it wouldn't be in time, anyway I've got the front cover off and I cant find any timing marks on the camshaft gear other than the bolt on gear that drives the pump.Does anybody have some information or perhaps pictures to help me out.I really don't want to pull the head, I do have injector #1 out to see if I can put my thumb over the hole and feel compression so I know #1 is on TDC.
