Default 95 k2500 6.5 td

I have a 95 k2500 with the 6.5td this is my first diesel truck so dont no much about them. It will run fine then all the sudden shut off an its a pain to get it started again. Once it starts again it will run 20-30 seconds or 5 minutes an then do the same thing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Does just the engine shut down or is it like you shut the key off?

What's the pmd situation? Has it been relocated? Have tried swapping in a known good one? If you don't have a spare you might as well get one. Pretty much a necessity for these trucks.
