Default 6.5 won't start need help!!

I just traded for a 6.5 diesel I was told that the only thing it needed was a fuel pump so that's been changed but still nothing it's acting like it has dead batteries so I totally disconnected them hooked one side up to a booster box and one side to my other truck via jumper cables but still nothing , any ideas ?

No need to make 2 threads to solve the same problems, you have to have 2 good batteries with at least 750 cranking amps to start these trucks half dead batteries will not do it even if the truck is in tip top running order, a 6.5 needs to be cranking at least 600 RPM's or more before it will fire up.

Make sure you clean all grounds bolted to the engine especially the one on the rear passenger side cylinder head.
