Bleeding/priming 6.5 diesel
I had to replace the lines from the tank to lift pump , they were leaking badly. I dropped the tank and replaced the fuel sending unit in tank as well, removing the In-line fuel pump I broke it... So I bought a new one of those to ,got it all back together ,now just wondering how you prime it , I've searched a few times found some threads , t-screw at the front and the bleeder screw on top of the fuel filter , I also jumped the fuel pump relay had it running for an hour or so... Been 2-3 days still no luck
is fuel supposed to come out of the top of the fuel filter screw ?
Sorry in advance if my story is jumbled ,

To activate the lift pump look for a single red wire with an insulator just behind the underhood fusebox.
Apply 12v to that wire and the LP should run when the relay is properly in it's place.
Open the bleed valve on top of the fuel filter and keep it open while the LP is running until air quits coming out and a steady stream of fuel is present.
The integral cap fuel filters have issues with that bleed valve and some only bleed around the threads and not out the top of the valve.
As mentioned I also like to have an injector high pressure line loose while bleeding the high pressure side.
