Default GMC 6.2L 1500 Wont start. Fuel Filter

So I have a '92 GMC 1500 which I replaced the fuel filter in. When initially installing it, I filled filter with diesel and attempted to turn over right away, it fired up then stalled. I then googled it and read you have to remove the valve and fuel pump wire and wait until clean diesel comes out the air bleed port. I have it hooked up to a battery charger currently but no matter how many times i crank it over it doesnt come out the port. any suggestions how to get the fuel flowing or rid of possible air lock?

One way to bleed air out is by removing the fuel solenoid fuse (or just put the gear shift in drive assuming auto trans), loosen the bleed cap on top of the filter, and crank the engine until fuel comes out of the bleed cap. Your lift pump needs to be working for this work, to check the LP, remove the fuse (or put trans in gear) and crank the engine with the T-valve open. You should get a steady flow of fuel if the LP is working.

Does the 6.2 have an electric or mechanical lift pump?
Is it working?

you would also be advised to crack open an injector line to bled the high pressure side of the fuel system.

I always hot wire the lift pump for bleeding the system after changing the filter and doing diagnostics.
To me the other methods of running the lift pump seem to have a much higher chance of introducing air in the system, resulting in various related pains in the butt. I can not count the number of times people have posted about running the lift pump by some other method and suddenly have a no start situation. Just make a jumper wire and have it forever
