Default Injector pump and PMD location

a buddy has a 6.5 and think the PMD is giving him problems. I looked for the pump but not sure where it is. Is it next to / under the intake manifold? What is involved to change one?

Yest the IP is under the intake and in stock form the PMD is mounted on the drivers side of the IP.

The best approach is to by a PMD relocation kit that includes a new PMD,a PMD heatsink,PMD resistor and a 6' extension harness.

Then mount the PMD to the heatsink with heat transfer paste/pad between them, torque the mounting screws to 20-25"/lbs,install the PMD resistor in the harness cavity and mount the combo under/behind the frt bumper-then route the extension harness up to the factory PMD harness that you need to fish out from under the intake.

2 long screwdrivers and a coat hanger/hooked pick are required to undo the factor harness from the original PMD.

Pry the locking tab gently away from the PMD with 1 screwdriver and with the other push the harness back towards the firewall, then use a hook to pull the harness out where you can plug the extension in.
