Warranty on 6.5l fuel injector pump.
Need some information! September 17, 2010 Chevy dealer replaced my injector pump on my 2002 Chevy 3500 6.5l diesel van $2383.18. I had 154134 miles on the van. I now have 215000 and They say i need to replace it again. Shouldn't this be under warranty??? Anyone know the warranties on an injector pump installed by the Dealer.

Yes the van cuts off on me and hard to start once it has been running awhile. Sometimes it won't restart at all. I brought it to a diesel mechanic and he is the one who said it was the injection pump. That's when I remembered that the dealership had replace it in 2010. With everything I've read I think it might be the PMD. But if the dealership replaced it??? I would think it should be warranted.

It seems to start ok in the morning and idle fine. Once it warms up it cuts off and won't restart. I took the van to a diesel mechanic, he is the one who told me it was the injector pump. That's when I remembered Chevy change it in 2010. There has to be a warranty on the pump.
