Default Boost Problems

I have a 94 2500 6.5 turbo diesel and recently my turbo quit building boost and ive checked to see if maybe i had a vacuum leak somewhere but i couldnt find any im pretty sure its my wastegate but have no idea how to figure this out.. Help Please!

start the truck and unhook the vacuum line going to the wastgate. once the line is off pull the rod comming out of the wastegate towards the turbo which will open the wastegate all the way.. Then re-connect the vacuum line and see if it pulls the wastegate closed. i would start from there as the basics

The wastegate solenoid is a common failure point as well-it is located on the drivers side rocker cover and is what the vac lines plug into.

Sometimes a shot of WD 40 in the vac ports will resurect the solenoid for a while?

Also check the solenoid wiring for obvious problems.
