Comand start not working?
Recently I had to replace the Vac pump, and when doing this I disconnected the battery to get the wires out of the way. Now I do not have a command start. This happened as soon as I hooked the battery back up, and I can not find any wires that are not hooked back up. When I push the start button nothing at all happens, no pump, no dash , nothing at all. Everything is fine with the key. I tried the other start fob and same thing. The door lock function works fine with both fobs.
I am at a total loss on where to look for the problem . This is the factory command start on a 97 GM 6.5 K1500.

good old UTube came thru for me. The problem came from disconnecting the battery, and the command start lost it's memory for the start mode. Easy fix, is turn key on and off 5 times, then press the lock button, wait 5 sec, and you hear a couple clicks as the command start shuts down.
That's it, press start wait a couple seconds, dash lights come on and when the glo plug is hot it cranks and runs.
